The iENA is one of the most important inventors' fairs. This year, over 500 inventions from 22 countries were presented. Several Thuringian companies and research institutions also took part, including GfE Schmalkalden. It scored highly with two new developments and won medals: a silver medal for an ‘analysis system for rock aggregate harmful to concrete’ and a gold medal for ‘hybrid tool holder with integrated damping in the LPBF process’.
